Absorbent Rolls & Sheets

A roll is the economical answer when the spill risk is a line rather than a point: along a machinery row, down a walkway, across a bench. Cut what you need and keep the rest. Sheets do the same job pre-cut, which suits laying a work area out before a job rather than clearing up after one.

Roll or pads?
Pads for point spills and for restocking kits, because they are sized for a single incident. Rolls where the risk runs along a line and you want to cover it continuously, or where you would otherwise lay out a dozen pads end to end. Rolls work out cheaper per litre absorbed.
What do the grades mean?
Oil-only repels water, so it works outdoors and on open water and picks up oil from a wet surface. Chemical is rated for acids, alkalis and solvents. Universal, sometimes called maintenance, takes everything water-based as well as oils and coolant, which suits most workshops.
How much does a roll absorb?
Each product lists its absorbency per pack. Treat that as a laboratory maximum rather than a working figure: in practice you will use more than the arithmetic suggests, because absorbent is laid over an area rather than saturated to capacity.
